Application for tourist visa online via web portal www.srilankaevisa.lk is currently deactivated
with immediate effect until further notice by the Sri Lankan authorities.
Tourists can obtain visa on arrival at the port of entry in Sri Lanka.
On arrival visa are not available for the below-mentioned nationalities:
Afghanistan, Syria, Ghana, Nigeria, Pakistan, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, North Korea and
Myanmar. Nationals from these countries can apply visa from the Head Office of the
Department of Immigration and Emigration through a representative.
Nationals from seven countries, namely China, India, Indonesia, Russia, Thailand, Malaysia,
and Japan, who have the facility to obtain visas free of charge, may also obtain visas on arrival
at free of charge at the port of entry in Sri Lanka.
These procedures are currently in effect for the application of tourist visas until further notice.
