Registration of Birth within 3 months – High Commission of Sri Lanka in Singapore

Both parents and child should be present at the time of Registration
Father or mother of the child should be a citizen of Sri Lanka at the time of the birth of the child.
The birth place should be either Singapore or Brunei Darussalam.

Payment should be made ONLY in CASH at the counter

Application Fee: SGD 111* (Amount varied)

The following original documents with two sets of photocopies should be submitted. Originals will be returned after due verification.

Original Birth certificate of the child issued by the Competent Authority in Singapore/Brunei.
Original Birth Certificates of Parents (if the Original Birth Certificate is in Tamil, a translation should be submitted)
Original Marriage Certificate of Parents (if the Original Birth Certificate is in Tamil, a translation should be submitted)
Passports of Parents with copies of the Bio Page and VISA page at the time of Child was born
Parent’s Singapore/Brunei SPR/EP/”S” Pass/DP/LTVP/Student Pass/WP (Colour print)
Parents who are Singapore Permanent Resident – should provide their Re-Entry permits
Parents who hold other type of NRICs’ (EP/WP/SPASS etc) issued by the Singapore authorities should provide us with the detailed information with expiry date.

Birth Certificate & Temporary Passport (NMRP) will be issued within 10-14 days from the date of registration of the child’s birth.
