Required Documents for the Passport Application for Adults

The following original documents with one set of photocopies should be submitted.

Overseas Mission Application Form K35
Birth Certificate (Translations are not accepted)
If the applicant was born outside of Sri Lanka, the Citizenship Certificate
If the Applicant is Dual Citizen, Dual Citizenship Certificate Original and relevant Foreign Passport
If the Applicant is above 21 years old who was born outside of Sri Lanka, please download the Duly Filled Consent Form.
Copies of the Bio page and Observation Page of the current Passport
Residence proof in Brunei Darussalam
If the applicant needs to change the data page of the new passport, please follow the guidelines given below:

Profession:

Applicant must provide educational qualification or professional membership status for skilled professionals, (e.g., Doctor, Engineer, Accountant, Quantity Surveyor, etc…)
For other executive professions, a service letter should be provided
Semi-skilled/unskilled jobs e.g., labour, domestic helpers, no supporting documents are required
If the profession is already in the previous passport, no supporting documents are required

National Identity Card:

New NIC copy or Letter from Registrar of Persons Department

Name/DOB/Birthplace:

Fresh Birth Certificate copy with amendments

Name after Marriage:

Original Marriage Certificate

Required Documents for the Passport Application for Children (Under the age of 18 Years)

The following original documents with one set of photocopies should be submitted.

Overseas Mission Application Form K35
Original Consular Birth Certificate issued by the High Commission
Applicant was born outside of Sri Lanka, the Citizenship Certificate
If the applicant was born outside of Sri Lanka within 6 months, the Citizenship Certificate payment receipt.
Original Marriage Certificate of Parents when applying for a child’s passport.
Bio Page of Child’s Passport
Bio Page of the Parent’s Passports
Copy of the Parent’s residence proof in Brunei Darussalam
Death Certificate in case of either Parent’s death
Divorce Certificate/Court decision together with the order of Custodianship of the child, if parents are divorced.

Photograph specifications for the Passport Application for Adults & Children

3 (Three) Passport size (3.5cm x 4.5cm.) colour photographs taken within 3 months and it should not be gloss or semi-gloss
The background and dress should not be in same colour
The face must be clearly visible without any makeup and other effects
Both ears and forehead must be clearly visible
The photo should show the applicant’s eyes clearly without spectacles

Payment Details

Payment should be made directly to the Mission Account in Singapore.

Please Note

All the above mentioned documents should be attested by the Honorary Consul for Sri Lanka in Brunei Darussalam.

Once the attestations are done by the Honorary Consul in Brunei Darussalam all documents should be scanned and emailed to consular@lanka.com.sg before sending via courier to the High Commission in Singapore for due verification.

Documents should be sent through courier to the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Singapore, thereafter, to process the application.

Once the documents have been received via courier, the payment details will be notified via email.

Please note that the High commission does not take any responsibility for delays/loss of documents when sending via courier.
