Issuance of Passport for Adults – High Commission of Sri Lanka in Singapore

A Sri Lankan Citizen by descent or by registration can apply for a Sri Lankan Passport.

A passport is valid for 10 years from the date of issuance.

A new passport should be obtained on the expiry of 10 years from the date of issue, or if there are no pages for VISA endorsements.

Sri Lankan Nationals living in Singapore are eligible to apply for a passport.

Applicant should come in person to submit the application.

Payment should be made ONLY in CASH at the counter

Application Fee: SGD 215

The following original documents with one set of photocopies should be submitted. Originals will be returned after due verification.

Birth Certificate (Translations are not accepted)
If the applicant was born outside of Sri Lanka, the Citizenship Certificate
If the applicant is dual citizen, Dual Citizenship Certificate Original and relevant Foreign Passport
Copies of the Bio page and Observation Page of the current Passport
Resident proof in Singapore (PR/EP/SPass, WP, Student Pass, LTVP)

If the applicant needs to make changes to the details in the data page (Proffession/National IC/Name/DOB/Birthplace/Name aft Marriage) the following documents should be submitted:

Applicant must provide educational qualification or professional membership status for skilled professionals, (e.g., Doctor, Engineer, Accountant, Quantity Surveyor, etc…)
For other executive professions, a service letter should be provided
Semi-skilled/unskilled jobs e.g., labour, domestic helpers, no supporting documents are required
If the profession is already in the previous passport, no supporting documents are required

3 (Three) Passport size (3.5cm x 4.5cm) colour photographs taken within 3 months and it should not be gloss or semi-gloss
The background and dress should not be in same colour
The face must be clearly visible without any makeup and other effects
Both ears and forehead must be clearly visible
The photo should show the applicant’s eyes clearly without spectacles
